The majority of students may choose three optional subjects to study alongside the core subjects.

Options Process Key Dates

January 2026

  • The Options process is explained to students in assembly
  • In PSHE lessons students are given information and guided through the Options Portal

 

February 2026

  • Thursday 5th February - Year 9 Parent / Carer Consultation Evening
  • Thursday 26th February - Options Evening. An evening event held at school to launch the options process to parents and students
  • Students find out more about option subjects during normal lessons

 

March 2026

  • Monday 16th March - Options choice deadline

 

June 2026

  • Options are confirmed and are sent to parents
