Assessment:

There will be two internal assessments (component 1 and 2) which will be through Pearson Set assignments, which require several tasks to be written with reference to student notes but conducted under exam conditions.

There is also one examined assessment which will be in the form of an externally marked exam (component 3).

Who is the course for?

This course is for students who have an interest in the Health & Social Care Sector and who may consider a career in this industry. You’ll learn essential skills such as customer service and team work, and gain a full understanding of the various career opportunities available in this sector.

What will I do on the course?

  • Interpreting data to assess an individual’s health and designing a plan toIMG 0411[1] improve their health and wellbeing, whilst developing an understanding of a variety of different health conditions.
  • Look in to the values that are important to the sector and the services and professionals involved in health and social care.
  • Human growth and development across the life-stages, factors affecting people’s health and wellbeing, and the importance of different support networks.
