Coronavirus Updates

We have worked hard to make sure that we are fully prepared to support students and parents when the school closes indefinitely from the end of the day on Friday, 20th March.

We will remain open to children of keyworkers and the most vulnerable children in our community, and will communicate with you in due course about the exact arrangements. If you fall into these categories, please do let us know if you have not had the chance to do so as yet. This will help us to move forward with our planning.

Parental Communications

Our main channel communication with parents is via email., and this will continue during the closure. Please do let us know if you do not receive these emails or if your email address has recently been changed. All of our most recent emails are copied below for your convenience.

Please also make sure that you let us know of any changes to your mobile phone number as we may use this to contact you in the event of a school closure.

Absence

To inform us of an absence, please call 01202 497184 and leave a message no later than 10 am. If you are self-isolating please make this clear in your message.

School Closure

If we are told to close, we will confirm this to parents in various ways:

  • via the school website
  • via email
  • via text message
  • via Twitter

It is therefore vital that we have your up to date details on record and that you supply any changes to us as soon as you are able.

We have a plan in place re the issuing of work to students in the event of a school closure and will share this with you as the need arises.

Learning from Home

We appreciate that it can be difficult to support your child's learning from home. Students have been given clear instructions and expectations (below) around what they should be doing and we have currently provided enough work for all year groups to fill the next two weeks. More work will be provided as the length of the closure becomes clearer.
