Mr Moody Wins School Games Organiser of the Year 2019

On the 19th November our very own Dan Moody was announced as the winner of the national award, School Games Organiser of the Year 2019.  The award is voted for by delegates attending a summit, including School Games Organisers, Local Organising Committee members, Teachers and National Governing Bodies of Sport.  Three SGOs were shortlisted for the award and Dan, partnership manager and SGO for Christchurch & the Isle of Purbeck, won.

He has been hugely influential in shaping the direction of the School Games Programme in Dorset and is responsible for creating and delivering the prestigious Dorset Leadership Academy which takes place annually at Bryanston School.  Dan organises lots of events throughout the year including The Grange School Leadership Academy students working with primary school students. 

Dan’s level of professionalism coupled with enthusiasm and kindness provides children and young people in the area with the best possible experience of school sport.  He also helps other SGOs to become the best they can by supporting them to grown personally and professionally.
