Cooking at The Kitchen
Jess Teasdill, Nathan Cracknell and Tamzin Covell recently spent the day cooking at The Kitchen, the restaurant and cookery school, which opened earlier this year at the five star Chewton Glen Hotel, New Milton. The day included preparing and cooking a number of dishes including harissa chicken, flatbreads and a ginger and pear cake. They were tutored by Chef Tutor Rob Cottam who masterminded the opening of the cookery school working in association with TV chef and writer James Martin. The event was created as a prize for the top students from this year’s Christchurch Food Festival Cookery Competition in which Tamzin, Jess and Nathan finished in the top 9 of 200 students who entered the competition.
