A poem - Ellie Cooke

Since the recent attacks around the UK, one Grange student (Ellie Cooke) has written this fantastic poem which was given to Ms Asplin-Locke after a recent assembly on terrorism.

Pray for London

You’ve dealt with a lot

A very thick plot

You’ve been under attack

And taken aback

Ran over by a van

Stabbed by a man

Tears have been shed

Shed for the dead

So let’s all stand

Hand in hand

And pray

Because at the end of the day

We are a community

So together

We shall be happy

We have been through a lot

But we can untie this knot

Because we are British

And this we can finish

We are proud

So let’s all shout out aloud

“WE ARE BRITISH AND WE WILL NOT LET YOU PUT US DOWN”
