We are delighted for our students. Coping with the change to the new GCSEs in English and Maths has been a real challenge for all schools and our Year 11s have coped admirably. 15 out of the 91 students obtained over half their grades at A*/B or equivalent.
As an inclusive school we celebrate the progress of all our students and feel very proud of their success this year. The Grange School has a strong sense of community and these results demonstrate a true team effort between students, parents and staff.
Most of The Grange Year 11s move onto Twynham Sixth Form, The Grange Sixth Form, Bournemouth, Poole, and Brockenhurst Colleges.
Sixth Form Results
The 100% triple distinction* (D*) results in Business Studies places The Grange School at the very top of all schools in the UK who offer these professional qualifications. The triple distinctions are equivalent to three A* at A Level and the students are to be warmly congratulated for their outstanding success.
All of the students have, from the outset, aspired to exceeding all their potential and put themselves in a position to realise their dreams. This is the kind of attitude that we see in the brilliant achievements by our Olympic athletes; anything is possible with the right attitude and with the support of excellent coaches/teachers.
Success feels great and I know the young people are thrilled. They are resilient, motivated and raring to join the world of work. As they step into their exciting futures we will be wishing them all the very best.
