Physical Education
At The Grange, Physical Education is a vital part of life in secondary school. We aspire to get every child off to the best possible start in developing confidence, resilience, and lifelong healthy habits through a broad range of sports and physical activities. Lessons are designed to support all abilities, encouraging pupils to participate actively, learn key skills, and understand the importance of teamwork, fair play, and personal responsibility.
We also place strong emphasis on safe, inclusive practice and progressive learning, so that pupils can build fitness, improve performance, and enjoy movement across the year. Our approach reflects the needs of secondary age learners by promoting motivation, mental wellbeing, and positive attitudes towards physical activity. For parents, this means clear expectations, supportive coaching, and opportunities for pupils to develop both physically and socially—preparing them for a healthy future beyond school.
