Jun 21st 2017A poem - Ellie CookeSince the recent attacks around the UK, one Grange student (Ellie Cooke) has written this fantastic poem which was given to Ms Asplin-Locke after a recent assembly on terrorism. Pray for London You’ve dealt with a lot A very thick plot You’ve been under attack And taken aback Ran over by a van Stabbed by a man Tears have been shed Shed for the dead So let’s all stand Hand in hand And pray Because at the end of the day We are a community So together We shall be happy We have been through a lot But we can untie this knot Because we are British And this we can finish We are proud So let’s all shout out aloud “WE ARE BRITISH AND WE WILL NOT LET YOU PUT US DOWN”
May 15th 2017BTEC's at the Grange Our BTEC courses continue to go from strength to strength. Once again we are predicting excellent grades for our students at both key stage 4 – year 11 and key stage 5 – year 13. Recently our work has been quality assured by the exam board EDEXCEL. The feedback we have received has been excellent with them praising the school for the interesting work set and the high standard and variety of student work submitted. So much so that they have asked to use some of our work for exam board training purposes. This is a great accolade for he BTEC teachers and team as a whole. A massive well done to all the Professional Studies staff who continually work so hard for the students and school.
